The icemaker workes good from empty to a day or so then it drbbles out of the back of the tray into the ice cube catcher the fuller the ice cubes then the water coming out of the back runs over the ice in the back and its all fused together. is their a level control when the water runs into the ice tray so it will not over flow.

When you lift the arm up does it shut off ?
Are the cubes over sized ?

When the arm is up it turns the ice process off
the ice cubes are normal size

Sorry for all the questions but I need this info to answer your question

I am leaning towards the water solenoid this turns the water on and off
However you are telling me the ice process shuts off when the arm is raised
Are you sure the water shuts off also ?
