We have a Whirlpool refrigerator model #ET8CHMXKT05. Water has started to drain sporadically from the back of the freezer into the refrigerator compartment and I am using a baking dish to catch the stream. It seems that perhaps the water from the defrosting cycle is not draining properly down and into the tray underneath?? Does this sound like a blockage or what? Thanks! :-)

Hi, Thank you for using justanswer for your appliance questions!
There is no doubt the water you are getting is defrost water. The cheapest and most effective way to remedy this is to unplug the refrigerator, leave both doors open for 48 hours. This will thaw any ice that has formed in the defrost tube, and it will give you a chance to completely spring clean your fridge and do some serious food inventory!

Hope this helps!
